主要从事水稻遗传育种研究,综合利用遗传学,分子生物学,基因组学,表观遗传学等手段从水稻中发掘、定位、克隆控制抽穗期等重要农艺性状的新基因,并利用分子标记辅助选择,基因编辑等方法开展水稻分子育种工作。利用表观基因组测序技术分析了水稻胚乳发育过程中的全基因组DNA甲基化动态模式,克隆到多个与水稻产量、品质、育性以及抗逆相关的新基因。以第一作者在Plant Cell、Plant Physiology、New phytologist、Current Opinion in Plant Biology等杂志上发表论文。博士论文获评“全国优秀博士学位论文提名奖”“江苏省优秀博士学位论文”。主持或作为主要研究骨干参与国家自然基金面上项目,国家自然科学基金重大研究计划重点支持项目,国家重大科学研究计划项目,国家重点研发计划项目,中国科公司上海生命科学研究院优秀青年人才领域前沿项目等课题,2017年9月作为高层次引进人才到吉林体日农业科技有限公司任教授,博士生导师。
